Boss Guide
This boss guide was written by Shade8284.
DK's Boss - Army Dillo - Jungle Japes
Take out your jackets because this guy's a breeze. Just run side to
side and avoid the fire until he stops, then pick up the TNT barrel and throw
it at his head. Three times and he runs away.
Diddy's Boss - Dogadon - Angry Aztec
Almost the same as above, run until he stops, then hit his head with
a TNT barrel. Not so tough, eh?
Tiny's Boss - Mad Jack - Frantic Factory
This guy's the first tough boss. Jump from platform to platform,
using the Ponytail Spin. When he stops, look for the blue switch on one of
the platforms which should be the same color as the platform the boss is on,
and stomp it. After about 3 stomps, the boss will turn invisible. You can
see where he is by the sparkles, though. After you hit the switch again, he
falls to his doom.
Lanky's Boss - Puftoss - Gloomy Galleon
While fighting this boss, you're in a watercraft. Hold Z to go and
jump with A. Avoid the attack and hit the DK Stars. Each hit makes a timer
start, or reset, and a pole pop out of the water. After hitting a full set
of 5 starts within the time, the 5 poles that stick out of the water shock
the boss. After the first shock, the boss gets a new shockwave move that can
easily be avoided by going on the outside of the arena. Each shock also
makes the DK Stars smaller. Five sets of shocks and he deflates.
Chunky's Boss - Dogadon Deux - Fungi Forest
I think Rare's getting clumsy, this guy REALLY reminds me of Diddy's
boss in Angry Aztec. Oh well. Avoid the fire and hit him with the TNT barrel
. He'll shoot you with a wall of lava, just grin and bear it, you can't
avoid it. When the platform starts to fall, hit him with the TNT, then get
in the Hunky Chunky barrel and punch the boss. Hold Z then press B to hit
him with a bigger punch. When you shrink, just hit him again with the TNT
and get bigger so you can punch him.
DK's Boss - Army Dillo Again - Crystal Caves
Damn Rare, make NEW bosses! You hear me, NEW BOSSES! He's the same
a before, except he's quicker and has a new move. He'll stop, the 2 guns on
his side go into the shell, and 2 rockets come out. He'll hover, then slam
into the ground, making a green shockwave. All you do to avoid it is hold Z
and when the ground comes up from under you, press A to backflip over the
shockwave. Three hits and he loses the guns, but a little cannon comes from
his back. Then the cannon grows until it is bigger than the boss himself.
He'll soot one rocket dude about your size, then one more hit to his head
blows his armor off. Yay, you beat him twice!
Lanky's Boss - Kard Board K. Rool - Creepy Castle
Finally, a cool innovative boss. Even though you enter as Lanky, you
can use up to all of the Kongs. There are 4 cannons pointed toward the 4
walls of this arena on the center platform. When the boss pops up, go into
the cannon facing him and you'll hit him. Swim back to the platform,
avoiding the fish, and do it 2 more times. Don't attack if he is shooting
lasers at you. After hitting him three times, his right arm will fall off,
there will be two K. Rools (One darker than the other), and a ghost on the
platform. The darker K. Rool is a fake, so shoot at the lighter one. After
another 3 hits, the boss will lose his left arm, and he'll shoot lasers from
a wall, then shoot lasers again from the wall counterclockwise from where he
was. He will pop up from wall to wall 6 times very quickly, so remember
where he was, listen to his yelling, and wait for him to pop up before you
get into the cannon. Three more hits and his head falls off. That means
you've beaten him. If any Kong shoots where there is no K. Rool, then you
will lose that Kong and have to play as a different one. You only have the 5
Kongs, then you have to start over.
Last Boss - Krusha K. Rool - DK Isles
Finally, the last boss. Be prepared for a LOOOONNNNNNNNNG fight.
There are 5 rounds of 3 minutes apiece, if you die then you have to start
all over again. If the time runs out, then you can try again. The rounds
are as follows:
Brain Blasting - Donkey Kong
Jump the shockwaves, then climb
the turnbuckles when the barrels appear. When K. Rool raise his gloves,
shoot out into his head. After each successful shot, the barrel disappears.
There are 4 barrels, after using all to hit him, he falls down and you win
the round.
Spotlight Smash - Diddy Kong
Avoid the Boomerglove, then
Rocketbarrel up high to the light fixtures. There are two targets on
opposite sides of the light above K. Rool, hit both and the light will fall
on him. You win this round once all 4 lights have fallen.
Slip N. Slide - Lanky Kong
He still has the light on his head
from the last round, so he can't see you. He can HEAR you though. Go to the
ropes, face any number, and punch it. Don't worry, it will reach. Pick up
the Banana Barrel, and throw it somewhere. Four Music Pads will pop up from
the 4 corners of the ring. Go on a music pad and play his Trombone when the
banana peel is in the middle of the line between you and K. Rool. He will
run towards you and slip on the peel. One music pad and one number thing
from outside will disappear. Hit him 4 times and you win the round.
Tiny Toe Tag - Tiny Kong
K. Rool's buddies pry the light off
him, so he can see you now. Dodge the shockwaves, and when the Tiny Barrel
appears, go in it and enter K. Rool's left shoe (It has a black mark on it).
The toes will shake before they go forward, dodge the toes until one toe
bends up. Hit that toe with the feathers from your bow (It's already out,
just press B) Once the toe is gone, you'll exit the shoe. You have to hit
the first toe once, the second toe twice, the third toe three times, and the
fourth toe four times. Four toe hits ends this round.
Chunky Clobber - Chunky Kong
K. Rool's invisible, and running
off the ropes, but you can see his shadow. Hit the switch in the middle,
then go on one of the Chunky Pads and activate it with Z. Get into the
Chunky barrel, and hold Z.
K. Rool will try to charge at you, press B when he's like in the middle of
the ring and you'll punch him. Four super punches and you win the game. Be
warned, on the third punch he's faster, so press B when K. Rool just touches
his face on the mat. On the fourth punch, he goes side to side, so watch out
and press B when he's like in the middle.
