Review: When I got Donkey Kong 64 I expected big things and that's exactly
what I got. Donkey Kong is huge in terms of stage size, boss size, enemy size,
well lets just say the whole damn thing is huge. The only problem I have with
it is the many items you must collect. Finding those items can be hard and some
people might just want to quit. The first stage for me was kind of difficult.
When I saw Diddy and I knew I had to rescue him I whipped out my Coconut gun and
shot all three switches above. It took me awhile to figure out what I had to
hit in order to get Diddy out and free him.
I finally found out that there were three switches in the stage that were not
above Diddy's cage that I had to hit with my gun in order to get Diddy out.
Some of you will get frustrated, but keep with it. In this game, in order to
win you need patience, calm and you need to explore to go anywhere. My reason
for the 9 rating is that it is an awesome game with awesome graphics, but the
exploration can be frustraing. Nonetheless, its still a good game and a must
have for a Nintendo 64 owner.

Review: I was shocked. I could not believe it. Dk64, in my hands. It was a
mirical. The other one was talking less than 5 minutes to get the expansion pack
in.
The overworld is awsome, and well... I can't explain it. Forget Banjo. It whips
Banjo all the wat to Timbukto, and it's acutally a challenge. You MUST get this
game. Dk. Donkey Kong is here. And he rules.

Review: this is one of the better games that i played, it is my second favorite
one, DK is a huge game, from finding all of them fairies and bananas and
blueprints it will keep you playing for at least 60+ hours, and the bosses are
really kind of difficult

Review: I gave this game an 8. I really love it and the puzzles are great. But
it just feels like it lacks something. The major bosses at the end of each
level seem too easy as well. But the puzzles are great. It's a solid buy, the
puzzles are what keep you going, not the the enemy difficulty.

Review: I picked up my copy of DK64 today and I must say I am surprized. This is
a very beautiful game where the character has life like moves, and sounds. It's
even better with a rumble pack. I would recomend this for a child or an adult.

Review: I have just bought DK64 and I think it is a great game. To me it is
better than Banjo-Kazooie because it has more of a storyline. It keeps the
Kong's story flowing from the DKC trillogy. The game is also pretty stunning in
the graphics department which is obviously why you had to have an expansion pak.
Overall I think it is a very well put together game.

Review: It's finally here! If you love Banjo-Kazooie, you'll love this game. My
main concern was that it would be a rehashed Banjo-Kazooie. It will kind of
remind you of BK,(especially the music) but DK64 definitly has a personality of
its own. It is definitly worth buying. It should take you 70-90 hours to
complete. It also has plenty of fun mini-games, including a mine cart ride, a
barrel blast challenge, and a rocketpack ride. The graphics are incredible. Some
of the puzzles are boring, though. Most of them are very fun. Overall, it is a
challenging, huge game.

Review: I'd actually give this 9 1/2.
This is one of the best games I've ever played. If you like huge games that
take an eternity to finish this is your game. I've playeed 8 hours and i'm only
27% done that's 2 levels!!

Review: Rare has done a very good job with this game.
Yes, it did mean the delay of Perfect Dark and
gamers have no choice but to have an expansion
pack included but this game is well worth your
hard-earned fruit...er money. Gigantic levels
with lush graphics and control that only took me
about 5 minutes to master await fellow Kongers.
My only complaints about this game is the fact
that it's almost too big...getting all the items
in all the levels with every character is going to take
a very long time. Once you see the size of the
levels and realize all the work you have to do to get
everything is sure to seem like quite a daunting
task. That aside, crystal-clear music, fantastis graphics,
and solid control make this game a sure hit. So this
holiday season, make sure the Kong family makes
it onto your Nintendo 64

Review: I think the game beats Zelda in that its bigger, more beautiful, more
challenging etc.. The game sets a new standard which I start drooling at I am
only 12% through the game in 6 hours whew thats a lot more stuff to do this gam
will last around 100 hours. The Games Fun Factor is awesome the game at first i
thought as easy but the Second level is really hard. WOW. All the Characters
have awesome moves that look so cool! I personally like Chunky's Growth Spirt
Move , thats awesome !! The game is the bets for N64 , you have to go buy it
!!!!!!!!!!

Review: I can only summarize the DK64 game as a disappointment. Yes, the
graphics are rather good....but regardless of what anyone tells me.....DK64 is a
recycled version of Banjo-Kazooie. I may not buy another Rare product. 2 1/2
years in the making?? I find that hard to believe.

spectacular.

Review: The game is great. I have been playing it for about 4 hours, and the
gameplay is great, the challenges are witty (finding mine cart ride, shooing
switches), but one thing the game lacks is good camera angles. It can be very
confusing at times. The music is great, gameplay is fun, and the depth factor
is very deep. I think this makes a great gift for the holidays, and I reccomend
it for everyone.

Review: When i frist saw Donkey Kong 64 it looked like
the best game I'd ever seen. I knew i had to buy it.
Unfortunately, when i got it, it just seemed, dull and boring.
When i started to play it, and I got into the levels it sarted to
get more interesting. If you take Mario 64, it is a very
"high caliber" game. If you are trying to go somewhere in a
level, you will be doing exiting things, and killing lots and lots of enemies.
In donkey kong, sometimes it seems that your going somewhere
forever, but your not doing anything on the way. At first, when I
started to play the game, it seemed really dull, but when i got to frantic
factory
it got a lot better. And the same with Fungi Forest.
It gets really interesting when you get to creepy castle, there is
lots of stuff to do there.
This game has, by far, the best graphics and animation
that I have ever seen. It also has lost of creativity. Unfortunately, it some
times
links back to Banjo Kazooie. (at least for me). For instance, the huge
Mushroom
in fungi forest reminds me of the huge tree in Banjo. Also the music in angry
aztec
sounds very much like Gobi's valley in Banjo.
Even though, I still like this game a lot. Although
it can get very very very frustrating at times. Especially on the boss for
Fungi Forest.
Basically you have to beat the boss before the platfrom sinks into the lava and
you
die. That took me forever to beat.
In conclusion, If you just started playing the game, and you think it
sucks,
trust me, it WILL get better. give it a could of hours. Overall it is a very big
game
and frustrating at times, and dull at the beginning, So i will give this game an
8.

Review: The coolest thing about DK64, is it's size. It's HUGE! Unlike Banjo
Kazooie where just when you really like it, you beat it. instead, DK64 just
keeps on going, and going, and going...
I haven't completed the game yet, although from the instruction booklet I gather
there's another fake ending (like in BK). The graphics are pretty good. BK had
very lush enviorments, while DK64 has much better character design.
SFX are very nice, they blend in very well with the game. Music is cool. Though
no Jet Force Gemini, it has some very awesome tracks. But the DK rap is awful!!
The Kongs are funny, but the music sounds like who ever wrote it cared so much
about it rhyming that it really doesn't make much sense.
Control and camera could not get better, except that the camera gets annoying in
boss fights sometimes.
Also two OLD Rare games are hidden somwhere.
As usual, Rare packed the game with secrets just waiting to be found...
Even if you don't like platform games, you should still get Donkey Kong 64.
Trust me, you'll love it!
